Purging and conditioning of gas carriers
- 1. Location Zeebrugge Outer port, berth no. 102/103 (315M) direct connection to open sea. Draft 9M at low water, no further limitations. Unlimited towage facilities.
- 2. Storage capacity 75.000 litres liquid nitrogen on the dock side
- 3. Specifications of N2 better than 99,98% purity (oxygen content less than 100ppm – water less than 40 ppm)
- 4. Flow rate max. 3000 CBM per hour
- 5. Temperature ambient. A superheater is available to raise the temperature of nitrogen vapours to 70 centigrade.
- 6. Flare stack capacity of burning 850 CBM hydrocarbons per hour (C2-C3-C4-C5 type). VCM and IPM cannot be burned.
- 7. Hot air supply 4 mobile hot air fans available for venting and drying tanks with breathable air. Hot air fans have a capacity between 12.000 – 15.000 CBM air per hour at 60 centigrade.
- 8. Coolants upon request coolants such as propane, butane, propylene PG, butadiene, VCM can be supplied (by truck or railcar). Installation offers possibilities for gastests on new buildings.
- 9. Laboratory independent surveyor (SGS Belgium) has laboratory facilities available on the dock side. Specifications are gaschromatographically checked and negociable certificates are issued.
- 10. Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- 11. Bunkers all grades available ex barges (trucks). Bunkering during purging can be effected without loss of time.
